The Careers and Employment Service offers free job search and career development services and

resources to help you launch your global career.

Careers Services

The Careers and Employment Service

can help you:

• Find career direction – make an

appointment with a careers advisor,

participate in our career mentoring

programs, and use our online

self-help resources

• Prepare for your job search – participate

in a job search seminar and have our

careers advisors review your resume

• Find job vacancies and work experience

– visit the Griffith Careerboard jobs

database and connect with employers via

our social media groups.

You can make 20 minute individual

appointments with a careers advisor to

discuss your career direction, employment

options, job applications, resume, interview

preparation, job search or work experience

strategies. These free appointments are

available to current students and Griffith

graduates for up to one year after graduation.

Career Mentoring Programs

The Careers and Employment Service runs

two mentoring programs that support the

career development of Griffith students.

The Griffith Industry Mentoring Program

matches students with experienced

professionals from industry and allows

you to gain first hand insights into your

chosen profession. This program is offered

in face-to-face mode at our Gold Coast

and Brisbane campuses.

Griffith Global e-Mentoring is an online

career mentoring program that connects

Griffith students to industry professionals

based overseas or in Australian cities beyond

the Brisbane-Gold Coast corridor. This

program offers the flexibility and convenience

of online communication and utilises Griffith’s

leading-edge learning technology.

Career mentoring is a great way to gain

information and guidance about your career

direction. Griffith mentors come from a range

of organisations, including local and state

government departments, mining, finance,

health and nursing, research, psychology, law,

the police service, energy, education, tourism

and cinematography.
